L&C Presentation

Assalamulaikum and good afternoon.

We as Marine Engineering students at MKJB are given a task to give a well presentation to our instructor and marine engineering collegues. The topic of our presentation must be related to marine or engineering.

Most of us have done well during our presentation. I also have done my presentation but i'm not sure if I have done well or just so-so in my presentation. My presentation topic is about Fresh Water Generation. I've tried my very best during my presentation. But I do feel I was lacking of something.

Marine Got Talent

Assalamualaikum and good evening!

Sorry I haven't post for a while now. I've been busy with assignments and stuff. So we are given an assignment to make a presentation.... a very great presentation about any marine concept we choose.

But before that, a lot of us are still suffering stage fright such as myself. So Miss Z, our L&C teacher asked us to form a group and sing a chorus in front of our classmates and herself. For my group, we haven't choose any song to sing yet but I'm sure we will get to it.

Earlier this afternoon, Marine A has already done the singing session and I heard they were great but they say as long as we enjoy ourselves, then it'll be great. So I hope we will do the same.

Waiting for so long

Assalamualaikum and good afternoon.

My topic today is about our allowances. It's been a while since the last time we, MKJB students, received our allowances. The last time we received is October 2012's allowances. so its like 4 months of waiting. I know the amount is not as much as wages but we as students who don't have any other besides the college allowances, so it's kind of a need for us.

So that's it. I'm just complaining about my allowances.

Health Awareness

Assalamualaikum and good morning.

As you know, we are given assignment to publish a poster titled health awareness. We are told to choose at least 3 disease or any kind of illness and make a poster with a leaflet of the awareness of the diseases and illness.

In my team, we chose Parkinson, Alzheimer and Anemia. We are told to use any kind of graphic software to make the posters. It is due til tomorrow. So I'm gonna leave now. I have posters to make. BYE!

Last two weeks, us, Marine B attend a ceramah at MKJB surau. We talked about Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam. I don't think I have to insert all the talk from the imam cause it'll be long. So I'll just post the pictures here.

Exchange Student to Singapore part 2

Assalamualaikum readers.

I told you at my previous post that I was nominated for the Exchange Student to Singapore. Well, I got it!!! Alhamdulillah I was chosen as a Exchange Student to Singapore. Of all 66 Marine Engineering Diploma students. I was chosen for the Exchange Student to Singapore. Alhamdulillah. I am happy to hear the news. I will try to participate myself in all activities available in Singapore when I arrived there. Me and the others will depart some when in June.

But the problem is, my passport is for Sabah and Sarawak only. The green one. And as the matter of fact, I lost it :( but I will try to get it done soon. This is the only opportunity I'm offered sponsored by MOE. So I must get it done! Fighting!

Yesterday

Assalamualaikum fellas.

Yesterday was quite boring. We didn't have anything to do. I mean no lesson because Sir Zul (our electrical technology instructor) was MC and Sir Yusran was not able to come to the college.

And also yesterday, Sir Moe, our I.T Application instructor left us with an assignment. Our assignment is create 3 poster using any picture editting software such as photoshop, picasa and etc. With the them Me, My Marine and Brunei. oh yeah, within a week! I think the time given for the assignment is not enough. So to Sir Moe, if you're reading this, please give us more time. PLEEEEEEEAAAAAAASSSSSEEEEE!!!!!!!

Interview for an Exchange Student

Assalamulaikum and good afternoon my fellow readers.

Every year, MKJB send eight students as exchange students to Singapore. All diploma students. Since this year MKJB has 6 active courses, so it'll be 1 student from each course and 2 extra students individually picked by the admin.

Alhamdulillah I was chosen as a nominee for the exchange student. Today, me and the others were asked to wait at the foyer for the interview. Unfortunately, I was the first to be interview among the others. For me, it was a disadvantage as the first to be called for interview because I won't know the questions asked from the interviewer from the other nominees.

Alhamdulillah the questions were not very difficult. If I am chosen to be the exchange to student, I better start looking for my passport. Its been month since the last time I saw it. Sir Yusran said the answer will be reveal tomorrow.

Parents Teacher Meeting

Assalamualaikum and good morning. Welcome again to my blog.

Last Saturday, we had a Parents Teacher Meeting event taking place at MKJB Multi-purpose hall. The event started at 8am-12pm and continues at 2pm-4pm. My mom arrived at 2pm. I companied my mom to our GC (Group Coordinator), Sir Saini.

We went to Sir Saini table and Alhamdulillah I got compliment from my GC. I scored 3 Distinctions and 3 Merits and 1 passed -.- that passed was General Engineering Knowledge. Aish... But overall he said my result was very good. But what was very good was when he told my mom, I'm a very good student! Alhamdulillah.

I will try to score much more distinctions at my phase test 2. In Shaa Allah.

Assalamualaikum and good afternoon my blog's readers.

My college life so far have taught me many experiences. It also taught me manners and how to react with others. We shouldn't be rude to others and make others feel down about themselves because we're not perfect. We also have our own weaknesses. Nobody can be on top forever. What's wrong with being at the same stage as others?

But so far, I'm glad to have colleagues like mine. They're friendly and well-mannered.

Final Year Project Proposal

Hello itsfaiznurrazin.blogspot.com readers! It's been a while since my last update. Very sorry about that. College life is pretty busy.

So we were given an assignment to present our idea for our final year project. I think I told you guys about this already at my last few post. My idea for my final year project is about electrical steering gear but sadly I haven't done enough research so my presentation was a bit spoiled and lack of info. I thought electric steering gear is ALL ELECTRIC function but no, it also involves pump and etc. So I'll fix my presentation slides before handing it to my instructor.

Sorry about the background. I'll make sure to change it to a more visualize graphic as soon as I found a better pic for it.

I.T Application

Today we have I.T Application period. Like always, we're doing a presentation. What are we presenting?

After promoted to ND2, we as Marine Engineering student, are given a final year project. It is a project with a marine engineering concept. We're making or building something which relevant to Marine Engineering such as a ship model, a hovercraft or the operation of a turbine. Anything that has a marine engineering concept.

Three hours ago, 3 of my classmates have made their final year project presentation. Two of them presenting about jet engine. Which is for me very costly. Another presentation is about hovercraft. A smaller scale hovercraft. Very intelligent for me.

I haven't figure out am I going to do for my final year project. But I will update it here.

Job Exhibition at MKJB

Assalamualaikum. Welcome again to my blog.

Yesterday, there was a job exhibition at our college. Most of the companies are oil and gas companies such as BSP., BLNG, Oil and Gas, PTAS, EMAS LAUT, PETROKON and many more.

Why were they here? Obviously to recruit newcomers to their companies. They were searching for engineering diploma graduates to work at their companies or to train them for a higher position. I, myself have found my future.

Ever since I was a secondary school student, I found myself interested to BSP since it is a highly standard company in Brunei. I found it as well guaranteed company. Why so? Because I found out that most people who work there are highly paid salary. Of course, money is what we aim for. Nothing works for free.

So during the exhibition, I went to the BSP booth and asked a few question which I'm curious of. I asked them whether the BSP offer a scholarship to a graduate to study abroad for a HND. But I get a negative answer for a marine engineering graduate. So this how I planned my future:-

As far as I concern Marine Engineering HND is not available in Brunei. So either I earn it in Brunei at ITB which means I have to take either Mechanical or Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering HND in order to make myself to join the HND development training. Or I can score the as much distinction as the subjects I'm sitting to earn myself a scholarship for a Marine Engineering High National Diploma abroad. Which is why I should struggle starting now.
